I am eagerly anticipating the Sex and the City movie. The buzz already started and the glimpses into the movie scenes are already inspiring my future outfits! Check out this great new gadget that allows you to take a quiz to see which lovely Sex and the City lady you most resemble- and you can also watch the exciting trailer:

My Hero!

Today Angie Jordan is my hero.

Angbo and I were roommates at OU and we remain dear friends. Full time, she is a wife, mother, and amazing speech therapist for geriatric patients. She has completed a marathon, been a member of OU's female boxing team, and endured a number of unpleasant days employed at the Pizza Hut in Athens. Now Angbo can add to the list of her many accomplishments- competed in a professional arm wrestling tournament!

Check out these amazing pics of Ang during her first arm wrestling tournament on Saturday.

My Adult Finals Week

Remember back in high school and college, the week leading up to spring break or holiday break when you were torn between focusing on your important exams and day dreaming about your pending leisure plans? Well, I find myself right back in familiar place today- and so I have officially deemed this week my "Adult Finals Week."

Of course, with our upcoming 2-week retreat to Greece comes a brutal 2-mile long work to-do list. I know exactly what I should be doing and should be focusing on- but that is much easier said than done. When I should be thinking about forecasting for Q2, I am instead checking the forecast for Santorini and thinking about what I will pack. So wish me luck- that I can have 6 days of uber-productivity and highly organized preparation. Afterall, I can recover while I sleep on the plane (yeah, right!).

Idol Gives Back to Mariah!

I am not ashamed to admit that I am one of probably 10 Americans who does not watch American Idol. However, last night while I was flipping through the channels I caught Brad Pitt presenting on "American Idol Gives Back" and I was suddenly drawn in to the show (due to the incredible philanthropy, not Brad Pitt's sexiness, of course). Following Brad Pitt, was one of the most amazing fashion transformations that I have witnessed in some time. I was scanning the audience for Clinton and Stacy- because I couldn't believe my eyes. Mariah Carey stepped on the Idol stage looking classy and dressed appropriately for her body type!?! See the below images for my very own Mariah Carey before and after pictures:

Exhibit A: Mariah performing at the Thanksgiving halftime show in 2005. This was the moment that I officially lost all respect for her. I don't care that it was a football halftime show- there is no excuse to wear this horrid, horrible (my emphasis is on "hor" here) outfit!

Exhibit B:
Mariah performing last night in an outfit that actually fit her body! Simple black tank paired with a high waisted, dark wash, straight leg jean and tied together with a classic chain link belt- beautiful! Even the straight hair and natural makeup was spot on. Thank you American Idol, for giving Mariah Carey her style back.

Finally, Spring!

Spring finally hit Chicago this weekend and Chad and I couldn't be happier. We spent Saturday enjoying the sun, fans and fun in Wrigleyville. We spent Sunday setting up our patio and grilling for our meals. We now remember why we endure the long, cold and dreary Chicago winter.

We'll Always Have Paris

Today marks the 3 year anniversary of our fabulous engagement in Paris. Sigh, I wish we were there right now.

Saying "Yes" to Chad's proposal (after a string of Oh-My-God-Are-You-Kidding-Me's) was the best thing that I have ever done. April 2nd will always be a special day, and Paris will always hold a special place in my heart.

April Fools Fun at Google

April Fools Day is a holiday at Google.

There are many internal jokes that go on during the day- as well as external "product releases" which are April Fools jokes from Google to the public.

My two favorites from today are our Google Intranet photos "enhanced" with silly glasses and mustaches (see me, Larry and Sergey pictured above)- and the YouTube Featured Videos on the home page all linking to the 80's hit video of Rick Astley's "Never Gonna Give You Up." This is the best "Rick Roll" as they are calling it of the day:

Happy April Fool's Day!

"Mom, I Won the Shamrock Shuffle!"

On Sunday morning, Sherri and I (along with 30,000 fellow runners) completed the Shamrock Shuffle 5 mile race in downtown Chicago. It was a great race, despite the misty fog and drizzle. Sherri patiently paced alongside my slow & short legs that had not trained for the 5 miles (and as a result are still throbbing). We ran the entire course together and finished in 49 minutes, so fun!

While we ran, Mom and Aunt Nora were back at the hotel watching over Oliver. When we returned from the race, Sherri nudged me and clued me in on her early April Fools joke idea. She walked up to our Mom's in the lobby of the hotel and exclaimed "I won the race!"

They believed her.

Ah, fun with gullible Moms!
